About Us

General Information

Back in the summer of 2003 Don and his wife Marcia moved back to Clinton, Iowa after they spent 8 years touring the United States with Don as a professional drummer and then 10 years in Florida managing and operating another music store. During his time in Florida Don was also spending time honing his music instrument repair skills. While still performing as a part time professional drummer. Don also spent much of his spare time audio engineering in both the recording studio and for live concerts. This is why audio system consulting and installation is a large part of the services offered by Tegeler Music.  With a combined total of more than 75 years experience in the music industry, Don and Marcia bring a wealth of knowledge about the music and entertainment industry and are now proud owners of their own music store, Tegeler Music.

Mission Statement

The mission of Tegeler Music is to be the premier provider of musical instruments and equipment along with the service of those items in eastern Iowa and western Illinois. Tegeler Music is dedicated to building long-term relationships with its customers based on quality advice, knowledgeable assistance, and unparalleled customer support. We want to be recognized as the leading full service music store in our area. The company’s goal is to maintain steady growth by offering quality merchandise and service to all of its customers.

Personal Dedication

I would like to offer a personal dedication to all of the members of the Tegeler family who, by their enthusiasm with music, allowed me to experience and enjoy music throughout my life. Without the support and prayers of my family, Tegeler Music would not have been a possibility. Music has been an important part of the Tegeler family history and my hopes are to carry on the tradition of music for future generations to enjoy.

Tegeler Music Building 2003
In the fall of 2003 we started a new chapter in our lives by going into business for ourselves. Little did we know the hard work, long hours and most importantly, the fun we were going to have in the years that followed. Our goal was and still is to grow a little each year and to build relationships with the great members of the Clinton music community.
We would like to offer our thanks to everyone who supports us. We fully understand the statement you make every time you walk through our door or visit our website and our promise to you is to offer the best service we can in appreciation of your support.
